HOW TO MAKE FALAFEL FATTOUSH SALAD

Description

Fattoush Salad with Falafel is a vibrant Middle Eastern-inspired dish.This dish contains fresh vegetables, including cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, and radishes, all tossed together with aromatic herbs like mint and parsley. Crispy pieces of toasted pita bread add a delightful crunch to the mix.The star of the show is the falafel, which are savory, spiced patties made from chickpeas.The salad is elevated by a tangy dressing made from extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, pomegranate molasses, dried mint and a hint of sumac, which infuses the dish with a delightful zing.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Falafel

    you can use  some Store-bought or make homemade falafel. Here's how to make it 

    • 1 1/2 cups dried chickpeas (soaked overnight)
    • 1 small onion, roughly chopped
    • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped 
    • 1 teaspoon cumin
    • 1 teaspoon coriander
    • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 
    • Salt and black pepper, to taste
    • 1/2-1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 tablespoon green seasoning 

    add everything in the food processor ,when done shape to ball 

  2. Deep Fry or Air Fry 

  3. Pita Bread

    Dice pita bread to desire shape 

  4. fry to golden brown  or airfry 

  5. Make the Dressing

    In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, sumac, pomegranate molasses, dried mint  salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed

  6. Assemble the Salad

    Add lettuce and topping in a bowl and drizzle salad dressing over the salad and toss to coat all the ingredients. If you don't have dried mint for the dressing . you can add some fresh mint leaves in the salad.

  7. Sprinkle the toasted pita bread pieces on top of the salad  

  8. Enjoy

    and add the falafel.If desired, add crumbled feta cheese.
